91勛圖厙s music department will present The Addams Family: A New Musical Comedy at 7:30 p.m. March 4 and 5 and at 2 p.m. March 6 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.

The show is being directed by 91勛圖厙s Director of Chorale Activities Vern Fryberger. He has participated in 47 musicals over a span of 35 years.

As part of 91勛圖厙s ongoing commitment to campus safety, the colleges Campus Safety Office has announced the launch of Rave Guardian, a free mobile app that turns any smartphone into a personal safety device. By downloading this free safety app, students and faculty can enhance their personal safety both on and off campus.

The 91勛圖厙 Foundation will kick off its Annual Academic Enrichment Fund Campaign titled Education Changes Everything on March 1.泭 Judy and Earl Fox will serve as honorary co-chairs for the month-long fundraising drive.

Designed to raise funds for academic scholarships and enhancements, this unique campaign allows donors to specialize their gift by choosing what department or fund they would like their donation to benefit.

91勛圖厙 music student Taylor Lampe will play trumpet in the 2016 Kansas Intercollegiate Orchestra in conjunction with the Kansas Music Educators Association Conference to be held Feb. 25-27 in Wichita. The orchestra will present its concert at 2:45 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26 in the Century II Concert Hall in Wichita. She will be among 72 college students representing 15 Kansas universities and is only one of five participants representing community college students throughout the state.泭

91勛圖厙s Shafer Art Gallery will host an opening reception for its Repurposed exhibit from 6-8 p.m. February 26 in the Shafer Gallery. The exhibit will feature the sophisticated cardboard constructions of Jessie Montes and Heideggers Ghost, a visual essay concerning the themes of ontology, New York City and personal vision by Scot Thein.

Six students from 91勛圖厙 in the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society were recognized Thursday for being selected as members of the PTK All-Kansas Academic Team during an award luncheon at the Ramada Inn in Topeka. Prior to the luncheon, inductees toured the state capital building with 91勛圖厙 administrators and visited with state legislators.
