The General Laborer will assist with a variety of day-to-day tasks, including handling, loading, and unloading materials; operating basic tools and equipment; and helping maintain clean, organized work areas. Responsibilities include supporting frontline hemp processing operations, moving products or raw materials, and following instructions from supervisors and machine operators.泭The General Laborer will be expected to follow all safety procedures, wear appropriate protective equipment (provided), and promptly report any hazards or equipment issues. This role requires consistent attendance, the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending and standing for extended periods, and a willingness to support different tasks as production needs change.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods in a production or agricultural environment.
Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools, power tools, and simple machinery with appropriate training.
Strong focus on workplace safety, including following safety protocols and using personal protective equipment as required.
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors and team leads.
Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions (e.g., heat, cold, dust) typical of industrial and agricultural settings.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field of study is preferred.
Basic experience with newsroom computer systems is preferred (ENPS, Arc)
Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must
Understanding of and adherence to AP Style (for digital platforms) and broadcast writing (for television)
Solid news judgment and the ability to multitask are essential
You should be calm under pressure.
Candidate should be social media and tech-savvy, and have a willingness to learn and be comfortable appearing on camera.
You must be a team player with a great attitude and be available to work various schedules as needed.
Newsroom experience is desired, but we will train the right candidate.
