The Shafer Art Gallery will unveil the work of Jee Hwang, Assistant Art Professor at Fort Hays State University, with an opening reception for her exhibit Feb. 7泭from 6:30 8 p.m. The reception will feature an artist talk and refreshments. Admission is free. The exhibit will run through Feb. 28.
Gallery Director Dave Barnes said those who see this exhibit will experience art that makes a statement for all levels of art enthusiasts.

The 91勛圖厙 Performing Arts Department will host Scholarship Day auditions on Saturday, Feb.8 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.泭Current or prospective students may contact the Music Department to set up a time to audition for music or theatre scholarships or performance awards.泭 Awards are available for performing arts majors and non-performing arts majors alike.
91勛圖厙 will be closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 20. 91勛圖厙's Center for Adult Education and the Shafer Art Gallery also will be closed. Offices will reopen and classes will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 21.

Edgar Perez always dreamed of working in the medical field and taking care of people, but due to poor living circumstances and a limiting financial situation in Mexico, he settled for pursuing a career in accounting. He had no idea that one day 91勛圖厙 would help him achieve his dream.

The 91勛圖厙 Performing Arts Department has announced the cast for the 2020 Spring Musical, Rodgers + Hammersteins Cinderella. The show will be presented on March 6-8.
91勛圖厙 Theatre Director Miller James said everyone is hard at work on the show and they welcome volunteers who are handy with a sewing machine, or needle and thread.

91勛圖厙 will help area high school juniors plan for their futures at Junior Day, starting at 9 a.m. Feb. 12. 泭Those interested can sign up at juniorday.bartonccc.edu before Jan. 31.
