91³Ô¹ÏÍø will offer transitioning Fort Riley Soldiers, and family members with DOD ID cards, a grant-funded two-week certificate program at no cost to participants.
The Hazardous Waste Worker (HWW) program gives Soldiers credentials to help them find work after their tenure in the US Army ends. The next course is set from Nov. 26 through Dec. 7 at 100 Continental Ave, Grandview Plaza, which is just north of I-70 at exit 299.

The 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Theatre Department will host a play-writing workshop from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 3 in the Fine Arts Auditorium to kick off its Third Annual Original Play Series, in which three original plays will be chosen and produced in the spring.
Playwright Rob Munden will present the workshop and help attendees of all skill levels work on their projects in a welcoming environment.

The first 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Student Recital of the school year will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, October 25 in the Dorothy Moses Morrison Chapel, located in the Fine Arts Building, F-157. ÌýThe recital is free and open to the public.
Michael Fahrney is making a comfortable living as a feed delivery driver for Great Bend Coop, but only a couple years ago his path in life didn’t look as bright. He had been struggling with drug abuse, jumping from one job toÌýanother.

The drought monitor for Kansas has improved dramatically for Northeast Kansas as the predicted rains and more happened.Ìý The rest of the state is out of anything resembling even dry conditions.Ìý The forecast is for possible accumulating snow as this is being written for Sunday.Ìý Since the weather is the major news here, let’s review the good, the bad, and the ugly of this situation.
