Dave Raynor has graced the stage with famous musicians such as Chuck Berry, Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers and Andy Williams to name a few. Hes played music all over the world and is a true master of guitar, and recently he took time out of his day to talk with students in 91勛圖厙s History of Rock and Roll class.泭

91勛圖厙s Center for Adult Education will soon begin another nine-week GED Preparation Class. However, orientation sessions are required before starting the class.泭
Students must attend all orientation sessions in-person, which will be held on May 11, 13 and 18. Students have the option of a 1-4 p.m. or 6-9 p.m. time slot.泭

91勛圖厙 has announced its spring 2021 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) International Honor Society initiates.泭
PTK is the international honor society for two-year colleges and symbolizes excellence in higher education. 泭Students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher are invited to join PTK. The PTK group at 91勛圖厙 spends significant time sponsoring local events as well as volunteering to support others events.
91勛圖厙 students will give a special performance of dances, then lead a craft using basic household items to make a crown, teach storybook dances and much more. Children are encouraged to attend dressed up as their favorite fairytale characters. The cost is $10 per child and the event will be held on Zoom. Tickets are available at shows.bartonccc.edu.

On March 20, 91勛圖厙s STEM Club welcomed 4Hers from around the region to participate in Space Day to help inspire kids imaginations and explorative spirit with STEM-inspired activities that increased the attendees knowledge and allowed their creativity to soar.泭

91勛圖厙 is making college more affordable for two lucky winners during its Apply Now! scholarship giveaway. Any Kansas high school senior who fills out an application by May 1 is eligible to win one of two $500 scholarships. Students can fill out an application at apply.bartonccc.edu.泭
Director of Admissions Tana Cooper said the scholarship is a way to show students that we are here for them.泭

91勛圖厙 will be closed on Friday, April 2 and Monday, April 5 for Easter break. 91勛圖厙's Center for Adult Education and the Shafer Art Gallery will also be closed. The college's regular class schedule and office hours will resume Tuesday, April 6.
