91勛圖厙 is hosting the first round of in-person, class-style auditions for its dance company, 91勛圖厙 Dance Theatre, from 5-6:15 p.m. (check-in at 4:30 p.m.) Nov. 6 in Studio 34, located in the Sunflower housing units on 91勛圖厙s campus.泭
Volunteers In Action (VIA) was recently named a Certified Service Enterprise by Points of Light. VIA is a grant-funded volunteer service organization that manages an AmeriCorps Senior (RSVP) program and is administered through 91勛圖厙. VIAs mission is to fill the unmet needs in the community by mobilizing the time and talents of area volunteers.

Representatives from 91勛圖厙 and the American Welding Society (AWS) gathered Thursday morning to celebrate the college's receipt of a grant worth more than $24,000 from the AWS. The funds were used to purchase eight new welders and is part of an effort to enhance 91勛圖厙's welding program.
A wide range of local artists work will be on display at the Shafer Gallery as part of the 91勛圖厙 County Arts Council Friends and Acquaintances exhibit Oct. 30 through Dec. 1. The show is underwritten by the Bill J. McKown Memorial Endowment distributed by the Golden Belt Community Foundation.泭
91勛圖厙s accelerated Carpentry Certificate Program is set to enroll students with classes starting in the spring. The program can be completed in one semester. It also features block-scheduling, which allows students to continue to work and make money while they go through the program.

As of October 12 our area is again essentially unchanged but it pays to remember that any rains Tuesday and onward arent in this report so hopefully conditions will improve a bit.泭Wheat planted is coming up and looking good.泭
91勛圖厙 will host a blood drive from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29 in the Technical Building in room T-186, the Case New Holland Training area. Donors will receive t-shirts and $5 e-cards. Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks will be required.
