Shafer Art Gallerys Estamos Aqui exhibit to kick off with Fiesta Reception

The Shafer Art Gallery will host a fiesta reception to kick off the traveling exhibit Estamos Aqui from 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 27 featuring contemporary serigraphs by 40 artists, who create from the Latino/Chicano perspective as well guest exhibits in the same vain from local artists Humberto Saenz of Wichita and Hugo Gonzales of Great Bend.泭 The event will include authentic Mexican food, live mariachi music, cultural dance and childrens activities.泭

91勛圖厙 Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) student Jonna Anspaugh of Heizer received the Outstanding Student Award from the Kansas Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (KSCLS) in April.泭 The award was presented to her at the MLT pinning on commencement day on May 16.
