91勛圖厙 students Kadin Stinson of Emporia and BrayLynn Anshutz of St. John, both members of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society, have been selected for the PTK All-Kansas Academic Team.
PTK is the international honor society for two-year colleges and symbolizes excellence in higher education.泭 Students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher are invited to join PTK. The PTK group at 91勛圖厙 spends significant time sponsoring local events as well as volunteering to support others events.
The students completed applications, which were reviewed by an anonymous selection panel on their respective campuses. Both students will have a chance at being named to PTKs All-USA Academic Team, announced in the next few weeks.
Anshutz is the daughter of Brian and Rhonda Anshutz and is a Physical Education and Health Major. She has been involved in Community Service Organization/SPARK Entrepreneurship, Christian Leadership Organization, the Presidents List and Deans List, and was the recipient of the Student Ambassador The Rock award last year. She also participated in 91勛圖厙 Cheer and served as a Great Bend Recreation Center Art Assistant. She plans to transfer to Kansas State University to continue her education. She also served as the Vice President of the 91勛圖厙 PTK chapter.
Stinson, the daughter of Deborah Sage and David Stinson, is on the 91勛圖厙 womens soccer team and has been on both the Deans List and the Presidents List. She is undecided on her major.
