Application Process for Federal Financial Aid

STEPÌý1:Ìý for Admission to 91³Ô¹ÏÍø

STEP 2:ÌýCreate a FSA ID atÌý. The FSA ID can be used for many actionsÌýincluding, but not limited to:

  • E-signing the FAFSA
  • Completing Loan Requirements such as Loan Entrance/Exit Counseling and Master Promissory Notes.

STEP 3:ÌýCompleteÌýthe Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on the web atÌý.

  • Include 91³Ô¹ÏÍø's school code on your FAFSA.ÌýOur school code isÌý004608.
  • An application filed electronically will take approximately two weeks to be processed. The Federal Processor will send the information to the Financial Aid Office electronically in the form of an ISIR. After your FAFSA is processed by the Federal Processor, you may access your via your account on .Ìý This summary provides information such as your Student Aid Index (SAI), your verification status, and an estimate ofÌýFederal Student Aid in which you could be eligible for.Ìý Please note, this amount can change and the final offer will be sent to you by our office.
  • Applications for federal aid cannot be made any later than June 30th of the award year. (Example: For the 2025-26Ìýschool year, youÌýmay apply from DecemberÌý1, 2024Ìýuntil June 30, 2026.)
  • The U.S. Department of EducationÌýwill send you a confirmation email. Ìý91³Ô¹ÏÍø will later send you an email regarding the next stepÌýonce the application is received.

STEP 4:ÌýYou must submit all requested documents to the Financial Aid Office. Once our office has received your application, you can view your financial aid status in theÌý. If your FAFSA is selected for Verification the Financial Aid Office will contact you requesting additional documentation. Any or all of the following documents may be requested:

  • Independent or Dependent Verification Worksheet
  • Tax Return Transcript(s) / Signed 1040(s) for tax year used on the FAFSA
  • W-2 Forms (your and/or parent's, spouse)
  • Copy of your Social Security card
  • Documentation verifying your independent status
  • Cured Default documentation
  • Bankruptcy Documentation
  • Copy of your birth certificate
  • INS documentation
  • Proof of U.S. citizenship
  • Professional judgment application
  • Any other document deemed necessary by the FAO

Priority deadlines for all requested documents to reach the Financial Aid Office are July 1stÌýfor theÌýFall semester, NovemberÌý1stÌýfor the Spring semester andÌýApril 1stÌýfor the summer session. The Financial Aid Office cannot guarantee a file will be processed and disbursed after priority deadlines are passed.

STEP 5:ÌýThe Financial Aid Office will package your 91³Ô¹ÏÍø offer and notify you via the your school-assigned email that the offer can be viewed by accessing theÌý.

Pell grants are packaged based on full-time enrollment. The actual Pell grantÌýdisbursed is based on the your actual enrollment and attendance. See Ìýfor further information.

STEP 6:ÌýAfter your aid has been disbursed to your account, a refundÌýwill be issued via paper check unless you sign up for direct depositÌývia the Student Financial Center within theÌýMy91³Ô¹ÏÍø Portal. You will not receive a refund if there is an unpaid balance on your account.ÌýÌý
